NDC can’t change the fortunes of Ghana – Prof. Agyeman Duah

Governance expert and co-founder of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Prof. Baffour Agyeman-Duah, has stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will not be able to change the fortunes of the country if elected to power on December 7.

According to him, Ghana is already burdened with huge debts under the current administration, and nothing will change significantly if the NDC comes to power.

Speaking on TV3‘s “The Key Points” on Saturday, August 10, 2024, Prof. Agyeman-Duah, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the John A. Kufuor Foundation, stated, ‘The NDC taking over the government will not change much; they are not going to change anything because Ghana is already overburdened with debts.’

Also appearing on the show, the Director of Legal Affairs of the NDC, Edudzi Tameklo, disagreed with the submission of the CDD-Ghana executive.

According to him, former President John Mahama has the experience to take the country out of the mess created by the Akufo-Addo-led administration over the past seven and half years.

“John Dramani Mahama, with his experience from governance, is better placed under the circumstance to lead this country to where we want to go,” Mr. Tameklo responded.
