My prediction about Ghana growing into entrepreneurial country in 2000 was driven by God-Rev.Obed Danquah

His prediction in 2000 about the growth of Ghana into entrepreneurial country where young people would be seen establishing their own business(es) instead of depending on government for jobs did not receive public attention out of sheer disbelief.

But few years down the line, his vision  began to manifest into reality which saw the country experienced an entrepreneurial revolution where young people are zealous, wanting to, and creating their own businesses.

As a result, several start-ups businesses have emerged, springing up across the length and breadth of the country.

Government equally expressed profound interest and continue to demonstrate its commitment to support the youth in similar direction.

President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017 launched the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Plan (NEIP), to serve as the primary vehicle for providing an integrated, national support for start-ups and small businesses in the country.

The plan which he contributed $10 million as seed money into, overall’s objective was to stimulate private sector growth at the early-stages of businesses, to accelerate job creation and to provide entrepreneurial Ghanaian youth with a critical alternative to salaried employment.

Reverend Obed Danquah,Minister and General Overseer of the Enriching Lives Ministries, located in Elmina in Central Region, is the man in the center of this great news.

He told the congregants, the move to come out with the prediction was motivated by God which he has obtained through revelation.

“In the year 2000, I predicted that Ghana will grow to become an entrepreneurial country, because people did not see it happen before therefore couldn’t believe it, but I did believe because I was told by God”.

I said it’ll be a country that would grow into entrepreneurship because that’s what it needs.” he stressed.

He said to prove that his prediction would materialize, he personally established an entrepreneurship training institute to train the youth, out of which trainees who were engaged and have successfully completed were honored.

The business giant turned Rev. Minister also launched his noble vision with a magazine called Entrepreneuship Forum at an event held at Alisa Hotel which saw the now Finance Minister, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, who served as a Guest Speaker honoured including some other government officials and prominent business moguls.

“I’m not surprised today you can hear the gov’t talking about entrepreneurship and wants to train children to be entrepreneurial minded because that’s what Africa needs”, he posited.

Rev. Obed Danquah made this known while delivering his first sermon at a church service that witnessed his ordination held on Saturday June 16, 2018 at Elmina in the Central Region.

He also revealed it is about time the Holy Spirit is working to bring financially sound and influential people into the ministry of Jesus Christ to preach the truth of the word.

The man of God who also doubles as a prominent entrepreneur and a philanthropist professed these crop of preachers would eventually take over from a rather abusive ministry that the desperate and hungry for money people are using God’s word to amass wealth at the expense of the poor congregation.

Being a staunch devotee of Christ and a business mogul with a vision to blend Christianity with entrepreneurship in order to save humanity, Rev. Danquah has hinted of releasing a book that teaches the techniques of successful entrepreneurship with virtues of  Jesus Christ, to be titled: “KRISTOPRENERUSHIP” ( How Christ relate to Entrepreneuship in wealth creation in the 21st century.)

According to him, the word used for the book is patented by him therefore cannot be used by any other person without his permission.

Rev. Obed Danquah was last Saturday ordained as a Minister of the gospel by Bishop Jerry Sowah who is the International Director of Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches for Africa.

He was tasked to be a staunch representative of Jesus Christ on earth, a light to the world, preach the gospel to masses and win souls for Christ.
