Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema – Ghana Branch have presented foodstuff to a flood prone area in Ashiaman to support them during the Ramadan.
The donation forms part of the foundation’s annual Ramadan package for the less privileged in society and people living with disability.
A member of the Foundation – Ghana Branch Dr. Nasiba Tahir led a team to donate the package of items which include bags of rice, corn flour, beans, Teabags, spaghetti cartons of milk, tin tomatoes and cooking oil.
According to her, the foundation has identified the area as a flood prone area and therefore the need to visit the residents and share with them some items from the foundation.
According to her, the Ghana Branch of the foundation has so far distributed over thousand of items to various Muslim Communities and still distributing to ensure that King Mohammed VI puts smile in the faces of the vulnerable in the society.
She revealed that despite the economic challenges world wide, the foundation has ensured that it provide support for the needy more than it provided over the years adding that some items will also be distributed to patients at Nima Polyclinic.
Dr. Nasiba Tahir appealed to the women in the area to send their daughters to school and not to engage them in petty trading.
The residents expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation for their kind gesture and prayed for Allah’s blessings, long life and prosperity for King Mohammed VI and the members of the foundation.
