A mining company based in the Western Region of Ghana, C&G Aleska Company Limited, has filed a $20m defamation suit against the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
The company contends that the maverick politician has slandered them on various media platforms.
The statement of claim accompanying the suit filed by C & G Alesksa Company Limited on August 31, 2018, said Mr. Agyepong accused them of destroying and degrading farmlands.
He is said to have made these accusations on an Accra-based Net 2 TV station owned by him.

The company said on July 24, 2018, on “Boiling Point, a live television programme on Net 2 television,” Ken Agyapong made the following allegation to the viewers of the programme which were defamatory of the plaintiff.
