May 25: Korsi Senyo to speak at the Heroines Pitch Leadership Summit

The Founder of Awake Media Network, Korsi Senyo is set to speak at the upcoming 1st Heroines Pitch Leadership Summit 2019 scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Greater Accra Regional House of Chief Conference Hall at Dodowa.

The Summit which is on the theme “Empowering society though women development” brings together over 80 young women to discuss issues affecting women development and they can be empowered, supported to take a key leadership position in communities and government.

The summit is being organized by Heroines Pitch, a women development NGO that seeks is to build the capacity of women to become a voice of society while bringing up the hidden virtues of a real woman in nations building.

According to the Founder and Executive Director of Heroines Pitch, Ms. Mariam Boateng, the summit will focus of Leadership and Advocacy; Entrenuearship and Networking; Business Technology; Personal Development and Time Management; Public Speaking and Personal Branding.

Korsi Senyo, who is an entrepreneur, civil right activist and investigative journalist will take participants through leadership and advocacy; and business technology.

A brief profile on Korsi Senyo:

He is the Founder of Awake Media Network – publishers and producers of Awake News, Awake Africa and awake TV. He is also the founder of Senyo Global, SEMPEG Consult and GoPropertyLink. Korsi Senyo is the co-founder and Executive Director of Africa Centre for Peace Building.

From May 2014 to August 2016, Korsi Senyo was appointed CC Liaison Officer of United Religions Initiative for West Africa where is played the role of communicating and disseminating information of URI Global Office to URI West Africa member organizations and facilitating training workshops for member organizations in West Africa.

In October 2013, Korsi Senyo was selected by Google Ghana for its Google for Entrepreneurs Programme where he received intensive training in business development. He is also a trained Champion for Change Leadership in Agriculture by AfricaLead – a USAID, Feed The Future programme.

He served as a member on 2015 Peace Awards Giving Committee of the Millennium Excellence Award

He was also Mentor on the Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Youth African Leaders Initiative – a President Obama’s initiative for Africa young leaders and Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme.

Korsi Senyo as a Civil Rights Activist 

He founded United for National Interest, a group that he is currently using to initiate legal reforms in Ghana and also fighting for the rights of Ghanaian people.

As a civil right activist, he has filed two writs at the Supreme Court of Ghana challenging the constitutionality of some aspects of the operations of the General Legal Council of Ghana – the body that regulates legal profession in Ghana and also challenging the legality of the General Legal Council for publishing a guidelines with sought to amend some aspects of the professional code of conduct for lawyers without recourse to parliament.

He has also filed two petitions at the Office of the President of Ghana that led to the impeachment of the two Deputy Electoral Commissioners of Ghana over cross incompetence.
