Mahama’s worst record in corruption fight is your best – Akufo Addo told

Founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has tackled President Akufo Addo over his recent statement that the fight against corruption has been the core of his administration since he assumed office in 2017.

“Despite the ugly noises, the fight against corruption has been the cornerstone of my administration,” the President stated during the commissioning of The Law House in Accra, on Monday, June 10.

The President’s comment was seen as a response to a statement made by former President John Mahama a day earlier. In his recent social media engagement, the former president threw jabs at the president over his handling of corruption matters involving his appointees.

However, for Mr. Cudjoe, the fight against graft in this administration is next to zero.

“My dear friend please stop boasting about fighting corruption. All those investments you speak of are mere is do-little efforts that have had ZERO impact on Ghana’s ranking on the Global Corruption Perception Index. Your best record is your predecessor’s worst!

“The theatrical comedy of errors engineered in the case of the missing millions of $$ some appointees stash away feed into the grand theft of Africa’s resources, estimated at $4700 per second using 2005 AU statistics. Please let us meet and go over our notes, Franklin Cudjoe wrote in a post on social media.
