National Communications Officer of opposition National Democratic Congress ( NDC) Sammy Gyamfi has reacted to assurances by President Akufo-Addo that there will not be any strife or conflict after the 2020 general elections despite the ‘violent’ posturing of the opposition.
He asserts that a peace-loving John Mahama would not take moral lessons from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who Mr Gyamfi alleges, personifies violence.
President Akufo-Addo, speaking at the 20th-anniversary celebration of the founding of the Tertiary Students Confederation (TESCON), on Tuesday, 18th February 2020, in Ho, in the Volta Region, declared that there will be no strife or violence despite claims by former President Mahama to the effect that there could be strife after the December 7, 2020 elections because the Electoral Commission(EC) has refused to listen to those opposed to the compilation of a new voters register and is going head to compile it.
But Sammy Gyamfi is of the view that it is rather President Akufo-Addo who has a disposition of violence and so former President John Mahama would not take moral lessons from him.
