Mahama Nyame atua y3ka….. Kejetia Traders.
I visited a friend who has a store in Kumasi Kejetia yesterday.
I was with him from morning till 4pm to discuss some personal issues with him including politics.
In front of his store were some hit and run hocker’s selling shoes, second hand clothes and other items which is normal in Kumasi.
There was this man I was observing since the time I got there, because he was in NPP regalia and wrist band.
He sells Second hand cloth’s and from my observation since the time he came not even one shirt that cost 2ghana CEDI’s was purchased.
Those in Kumasi will bear with me that the scorching sun was terrible yesterday and seeing this man shouting in this scorching sun from morning till around 2pm and nothing been bought was really pathetic.
My observation was right, because few minutes after my thoughts about him, I heard people laughing around him because out of frustration I heard him shout Mahama Nyame atuay3 ka oo, Mahama Nyame atua y3ka, Mahama Nyame atua y3kaooo, Mahama Nyame atua y3ka” which literally means. The God of “Mahama has punished us”
Later I heard him pouring his frustration out about the hardship they have been going through since the NPP took over from JM.
According since he came not even a single shirt was bought and same happened the previous days.
Others in same business also bitterly complained about how government deceived them with tax cut, interest rate reduction, stable dollar and the rest.
According to the man, they now realised Mahama wasn’t evil after all.
He said they thought their NPP will make things better for them than the NDC because of their balloon promises.
He said during Mahama’s administration, the cedi was very stable especially getting to exmas and it really helped their business activities but this time around the cedi has been depreciating on
daily bases which is affecting their businesses.
Interest rates are up so they can’t go for loans and a lot more.
The angry drivers around could not hide their disappointment on the so called 70% fuel reduction promised by government on December 1st.
Comrades, you could see real anger on their faces.
What shocked me most was that the guy who brought this whole discussion shouted he wished tomorrow is election day so that they can show Nana and the NPP.
Everyone in Ghana can testify to the fact that all is not well. Things have indeed fallen apart.
Despite the fact that they are gradually collapsing our education sector, when u complain about roads the answer they give is Free SHS,
When traders complain of high tarrifs, high interest rates, depreciating of the cedi the answer is Free SHS,
When drivers complain of high fuel prices the answer government always give is Free SHS.
Even when the hungry jobless youths complain, the government response has always remain thesame Free SHS.
So everything in Ghana is now about Free SHS.
Recently, for the first time in the history of Ghana, Asafo Market women had to match to KMA register their displeasure over high taxes and even threatened the KMA boss.
I thank God the good people of Ghana have now seen the nakedess of the NPP and indeed the God of Mahama is punishing all of us.
With hard work and a vibrant Youth support 2020 will be victorious.
Let’s us all get to work and get NDC back in 2020.
2020 is possible but it’s just a matter of time.
