The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, is scheduled to kick off his Greater Accra Region campaign tour on Tuesday, August 27.
This was announced in a press statement signed by his special aide and campaign spokesperson, Joyce Bawa Mogtari.
According to the press statement, the former President will meet with traditional rulers, interest groups, and community stakeholders during his two-day tour.
The tour will include visits to seven constituencies: Sage, Ashaiman, Ada, Amasaman, Domeabra-Obom, Trobu, and Anyaa-Sowutuom.
“The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, will spend Tuesday and Wednesday campaigning in the Greater Accra Region.
“The two-day #Mahama4Change2024 tour will take the NDC leader to seven constituencies to share his vision, proposals, policies, and programmes outlined in the NDC 2024 “Resetting Ghana” manifesto.
“Mr Mahama will meet with traditional leaders, community stakeholders, the youth, women groups, traders, and other players in the informal sector of the economy and Ghanaians in general,” parts of the press statement read.
The NDC presidential candidate began his nationwide tour earlier this month in a bid to canvass enough votes to secure an outright victory in the upcoming December 7 presidential election.
His first stop was in the Upper East Region, where he campaigned for four days. The former President then embarked on another four-day tour of the Volta Region, which has been labeled as the party’s “World Bank.” During his time in the region, Mr. Mahama addressed chiefs, youth groups, and had an encounter with the media.
