Former President John Dramani Mahama has snubbed the minority members of parliament in his address to the National Democratic Congress NDC supporters and Ghanaians at large on the election 2020 petition verdict.

In his address, Mahama thanked the various group ranging from party supporters, his office staff, his lawyers, General Secretary, and the other two witness who were cross-examined in the court.

He stated that he disagrees with the court’s verdict but bound by the decision. “In as much as I am aware that I am legally bound by the ruling of the Supreme Court, I disagree with the process of the trial and the ruling of the court…,” he said.

A seven-member panel of the Supreme court today unanimously ruled against Mahama’s petition, saying the petition lack merit and is unsubstantiated. The court stated emphatically that the testimonies of Mahama’s three witnesses were “of no relevance to the said issues set out for determination and so we find them unworthy for consideration whatsoever.” We, therefore, have no reason to order a re-run as sort by the petitioner. So we accordingly dismiss the petition,” the court ruled.
