Mahama promises to build tractor stations

In an effort to promote agriculture, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has promised to establish tractor stations in all farming communities across the country if elected president.

These stations, he explained, will provide farmers with access to everything they need to improve productivity.

Speaking at a mini rally in the Sene West District of the Bono East Region, former President Mahama reiterated his commitment to supporting local farmers, adding that the next NDC government will focus on improving agriculture in the country.

He said, “When the NDC comes to power, all farming communities will receive their share of tractor stations. Sene West will have its own center, equipped with 10 tractors and everything you need to make farming easier will be available for you to access.”

The NDC flagbearer further explained that “farmers will need to form cooperatives and register their names, after which their farmlands will be measured to determine what each has. Once registered, you can go to the tractor stations and receive the assistance you need.”
