MAHAMA I WORKED FOR, MILLS I LOVE

Koku Anyidoho has been charged with treason

The grounds for the General Secretary race for the Great NDC is getting hotter as the days goes by.

The debate now has been who can work with John Mahama who even the devil knows will win the presidential primaries as the General Secretary of our great umbrella party.

[ads1]From where I stand as a regional officer of our great party I don’t think one need to like or love someone before working for or with that person.

In my own case some of those am happily working with as a Regional Officer in Brong Ahafo never wanted me to win but am working happily with them for a victorious 2020.

So personally I don’t buy the argument of Mahama likes Mr A or B. According to the oldboy himself, he is not supporting any candidate but people contesting for various portfolios are using his name for campaign.

The Mahama I know can work with anyone who emerges the winner in the congress slated for 17th of November.

Koku is a nice gentleman who is passionate about whatever he does but his comment I I worked with Mahama but I love Mills has made most of the supporters of JM feel threatened by his candidature.

Others also are with a different school of thought that Koku led the famous “comfortable lead” campaign during the 2016 elections but still most of the party folks fear for JM come back because of some utterance of Koku.

Most of the Youths fell off Koku after he was freed by the CID boss in his 1978 statement which was deliberately taken out of context by the leadership of Npp and their police force.

The arrest of Koku saw the togetherness of our party. It was a time we all forgot of our differences and moved to support our brother to pressure authority to release our him for us.

Some of us moved from B/A to Accra for that singular purpose. Committed comrades were beaten and shot by the police, most people got injured because we believe government was wrong to arrest Koku. The entire party stood by him and even the oldboy had to abundant his mission abroad to come home to step in to speed up the process for his bail.

Finally after Efo Koku was discharged we were shocked with his first statement he made which centered around praising Akuffo Addo’s government, something that made most of us very disturbed because it was politically wrong to go that far as a national officer of a party that wants power in 2020.

On our daily radio programs after that incident, the Npp always refer Koku’s statement to support their arguments that Ghana is working again as mentioned by our deputy General Secretary.

General Mosquito as an experience hands is needed at this very crucial moment to support every course whether good or bad to win us power.

He has a long standing record of commitment to seeing to it that the job is done especially in opposition.

He did it after Josiah Aryeh sold us to the Npp. General took the party from opposition to government in 2008 and consolidated it till we lost in 2016.

Am surprised when General won two elections for the party which most of his critics today who said he has become too powerful, we never said all Glory should go to him.

Why should we today blame him for the loss of 2016 and call for his head in his bid to lead the party again?

When he led the most dangerous protest at the Electoral commission where were his critics by then?

When he was nearly lynched in Kumasi, where were his critics?

If he is powerful today, it is because of his dedication and hardwork which most of those criticising today benefited from.

Am in Brong Ahafo and am surprised people are trying hard to push for the fact that we lost B/A and Seikwa so the old General must retire by force not forgetting that the deputy General Secretary in charge of operations is as well from Volta Region.

We in B/A knows very well that there was no way we could win because of the financial meltdown which hit the area in 2016. Nana Addo and his Npp took advantage of the situation in B/A to win their sympathy, a decision they have regretted till date and are ready to make amends.

General is not perfect. He is a human and is bound to make mistakes. As an individual, he couldn’t have satisfied all the over 4million party folks but I personally think at this material moment when we need power urgently from the Npp, we need the leadership of the General to get us victory.

I was in Dabala for Hon. Egypt’s mum’s funeral where almost every conner of Volta Region represented and I realized even our own people from the Volta Regional urgently needs the Leadership of the General to win power for us in 2020 and Koku will be our candidate in 2024 election God willing.

Am not supporting General because B/A did me an honour by giving me the chance to serve them as a voltarian but I want someone who can give us a leadership that will give us power in 2020 so that that the hardship we the Youths are going through will be alleviated.

Am supporting General because he is the only one so far who has indicated his support for our protective groups.

Am supporting General because he is the only party officer the Npp is afraid of and who the people of Ghana are ready to listen to.

Am supporting General because I have been to 6 regions after my elections as the B/A Regional Youth Organizer and the story has been the same, we want General for power 2020.

Am supporting General because he has a lot in him that we need at this crucial moment of our lives as Youths of the great NDC and not to play tribal.

Am for General because he is bold though smallish and is ready to take decisions that will always be in the interest of the party for a victorious 2020. He is the man who knows how to do it better when we are in opposition.

Am FOR General.
