The Young Patriots for Victory of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says, It will be a bad decision for the President to appoint Hopeson Adorye as the next MCE for the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality.
The group believes that with their 2020 parliamentary candidate as the MCE, the NPP cannot ‘break the eight’ it eyes to do in 2024.
The move to get Hopeson Adorye ascend to the MCE office, the group’s convener said in a statement is by the Chief of Staff, Mrs Frema Akosua Opare.
“This deliberate attempt to get Mr Hopeson Adoye appointed as the Municipal Chief Executive for will not hold and Mrs Frema Opare must be told to stop her serious lobbying for her darling boy,” Isaac Nana Yaw Baah, the convener said in a press statement copied to Awake News.

He could not point to the main reason his group considers Hopeson Adorye unfit for the position except to say that he could be considered for another position apart from the Municipal Chief Executive.
Mr Baah said, he spent over a month in some communities within the constituency interacting with residents for their choice of MCE “and it was clear the residents were not ready for Mr Adorye. Any of the five names submitted to the President could be considered apart from Hopeson Adorye.”
