Liverpool’s stance on Ghanaian player Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

English giant side Liverpool has claimed they are not in the running to sign Ghanaian wonder kid Abdul Fatawu Issahaku this summer.

Reports in Ghana over the weekend revealed that the Reds were in the race to close a deal with the Ghanaian under 20 attacking midfielder ahead of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Currently, it is important to note that employment rules in place in the United Kingdom do not permit Liverpool to sign the 17-year old. This means Liverpool would be unable to sign the player until he turns 18 years old next year 2022 March.

However, it is understood Sporting Lisbon and Villarreal are now being linked with Fatawu Issahaku, who shot to prominence after winning the player of the tournament in the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
