Dr. Nyarkotey has conducted extensive research into prostate cancer and holistic medicine in the country. He was honored in [ads1]Nigeria in 2017 also for his crusade against the disease in Lagos.
He has won several awards towards his fight against the disease and the support from Lincoln community school is a huge boast towards his work.
Dr. Nyarkotey is a columnist for the Chronicle newspaper where he writes to educate the public on prostate health. The undisclosed financial supports according to Mr. Andy Martinez, an assistant principal at Lincoln Community school in Abelempke was organized by some staff members who took the initiative to support men’s health and awareness in Ghana using the familiar November initiative in the U.S., “these staff members are interested in creating awareness in Men’s health and collecting donations in support of a similar platform in Ghana” he said in a mail.
“I’ve read several articles about your work in supporting this initiative and we would respectfully ask for some guidance in local non-profit(s) that support your work, and the work of Movember in creating awareness and supporting cancer research in Ghana, specifically for Men’s health with the money we collect, if possible.
Dr. Nyarkotey is the founder of Men’s Heath Foundation Ghana; the national peak body of prostate cancer and the biggest men’s health charity providing national policies, awareness, testing and treatment information regarding the disease. The Charity has screened over 100, 000 men in the country since 2013.
Dr. Nyarkotey thanks the staff members of the school for this support and pledges his support for future collaboration towards November. Dr. Nyarkotey is a research professor of Prostate cancer and holistic medicine at Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca City, Cyprus and a member of the Prostate cancer transatlantic consortium, a firm researching into the disease in the black community.
