The Igbo Chief in Ghana Chukwudi Jude has applauded President Nana Akufo- Addo for his efforts in mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
According to the traditional ruler, the President deserves to be commended for shepherding the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines into the country.
He, however, stressed the need for citizens to continue to comply with the safety protocols and urged the two countries, Ghana and Nigeria to forge stronger ties towards development.
Vaccines for COVID-19 have been scientifically proven to be effective in reducing an individual’s risk of being knocked down and overwhelmed by the virus.
Here in Ghana, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 24th February, took delivery of some 600,000 Astra Zeneca doses as part of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) global vaccine-sharing program.
Following this development, the Igbo Chief in Ghana Chukwudi Jude has commended the efforts of the government for the show of resilience and leadership since the onslaught of the pandemic.
He also urged all Ghanaians to participate in the nationwide vaccination, despite the myths and misconceptions surrounding the virus.
