The leadership of La Abese Adonten Divisional Council has held a leadership summit for various heads of clans in the Abese Divisional Council.
The summit which forms part of preparations to commemorate this year’s Afrimi Yam Festival was under the theme “Retooling our Heritage through Peace and Unity for Community Development”
The purpose of the summit is also to highlight the importance of embracing their cultural heritage while fostering unity and peace for the overall development of the community.
It is also aimed at providing a platform for elders from various segments of the Abese community to come together and discuss important issues related to leadership and community development.
The well attended summit was attended by Nii Kwade Okropong I, La Abese Adonten Mantse, La Abese Adonten Jaase Members, Heads of Abese Adonten Clan Houses.
Others include, Chairmen and Secretaries of Abese Adonten Clan Houses, Asafoiatsɛmɛi and Asafoianyɛmɛi, Abese Adonten Youth.
The participants were taken through topics such as transformational and Progressive Leadership which emphasized the importance of leaders who can bring about positive change and progress within their communities.
It also highighted the need for leaders to have a vision, inspire others, and promote innovation and growth.
The participants were inspired to adopt transformational leadership practices that would lead to meaningful and sustainable development within their
community which includes empowering individuals, fostering collaboration, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
