Lawyer Sosu who was recurrently banned by the General Legal Council on two counts of “over charging a client; touting and personal advertising on social media” is yet to make his first public appearance since the news of his ban broke.

The decision of the legal council has sent a shock wave within the legal system in Ghana with many groups including United for National Interest, Centre for Victims of Injustice among others calling for the reversal of the ban while describing it as affront to natural justice.

Some senior lawyers in the country also described the law on touting and advertising as outmoded and need to be changed.
