Lawyer Sosu receives Humanitarian Award

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]hana’s celebrated human rights and public interest lawyer, Francis-Xavier Sosu has been presented with Humanitarian Award by Marshal UK & The Vine Complex Ghana yesterday, Saturday July 15, 2017 in Accra.

The award with inspiring citation was to motivate and honor the young human rights hero for his efforts in the fight for the vulnerable in society.

Lawyer Sosu has through his benevolence and law firm fought for justice for a lot of [ads1]Ghanaians who could not have afforded legal fees to access justice.

What Was Written on the citation: 

It’s a special award for leaders making positive impact in Ghana and abroad. The Award also recognizes the need to give back to Society.

You will recall that Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu grew up as a destitute street child, was adopted by Village of Hope, and found God’s grace. It’s through benevolent people that he became a Lawyer and he specifically chose Public Interest And Human Rights Law so he could give back to Society.

He has since become an Ambassador of Hope to many street children and destitute persons in general both in Ghana and abroad.

Lawyer Sosu has been featured internationally through Fox 13 TV in the USA, and impacted several young children in the USA by sharing of his life story.

Today, Francis-Xavier Sosu is a renowned Human Rights and Public Interest Lawyer, Social Protection and Child Rights Activist in Ghana.

He holds BA (Hons), Sociology, LLB (Hons). BL, and an LLM (Oil and Gas Law)

He is the Managing Partner of F-X Law & Associates (Human Rights Law Firm in Accra) which he founded.

He is the Founder and President of Treasure of Life Foundation (Christian Missions and Social Protection Foundation) – Ghana and USA.

He is also a Founding Member and President of YOUTH FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AFRICA which was formed at the UN headquarters in 2016 and during the 13th Annual Human Rights Summit held by the Youth For Human Rights International.

Lawyer Sosu authored the book titled HOMELESS, (A Ghana Education Service (GES) and Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) approved supplementary book for public schools. He also authored: Becoming A Hero, Understanding the Storms of Life, Overcoming the Storms Of Life and Love Lifted Me From the Street.

This project was instituted by Dr. Margaritta Shalders, the Founder of the Margaritta Shalders Ministries International.
