Law lecturer endorses South Dayi MP’s second term bid

Dr. Rainer Akumperigya a law lecturer at the Ghana institute of management and public administration (GIMPA) has endorsed the second term bid for the South Dayi member of parliament, Hon. Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor Etse.

Dr. Rainer took to his Facebook handle and endorsed the MP’s second term bid, stating; ” I’m fully endorsing him (Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor) for a resounding victory and a well deserved second term. We need more of him, not less, to advance our democracy”.

Reasons for endorsing Hon. Rockson who is contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the lecturer asserted that, the Hon. MP is a rising star who is committed to honest legislative activity in Parliament, which is cardinal to the functions of Members of Parliament under Article 93(2) of the 1992 constitution.

Dr. Rainer noted that the parliamentary candidate is one of the outstanding first term MPs and his appetite for the law and work doesn’t surprise him as it is reflecting his true character when they were at Ghana School of Law.  As Ghana’s democracy is still growing, parliamentarians who are earnest about the law are the people to contribute immensely to our development.

However, on the light side Dr. Rainer further added “as his classmate, he used to buy me tilapia at Asanka when we were in law school.”

” Hello, good people of SOUTH DAYI, your MP, Hon. Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor Etse has been one of the outstanding first term MPs, a rising star who is committed to honest legislative activity in Parliament. From personal knowledge, his work ethic in Parliament doesn’t surprise me- the same way he exhibited enthusiasm and appetite for the study of the law. I’m therefore fully endorsing him for a resounding victory and a well deserved second term. We need more of him, not less, to advance our democracy. Besides, as his classmate, he used to buy me tilapia at Asanka when we were in law school”.
