Kufuor appointed Senior Grand Warden of UK Freemasons

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ormer President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor has been appointed a Senior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).

[ads1]Ex-President Kufour was on Wednesday appointed by the United Grand Lodge of England Grand Master, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, who is the longest serving Grand Master of the Lodge.

“Congratulations to Right Worshipful Brother, His Excellency John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor, PGSwdB, former President of the Republic of Ghana, who has been appointed Senior Grand Warden by the Grand Master, His Royal Highness, The Duke of Kent,” the lodge announced the appointment on their Facebook page.

The United Grand Lodge of England – UGLE is Headquartered in Freemasons’ Hall, London is one of the oldest lodge.

The Freemasonry operates to a rule book first published in 1723 The Book of Constitutions (rule book) UGLE publishes directories of office bearers, committees and Lodges, available from the shop.

UGLE currently has more than 200,000 members meeting in over 7000 Lodges throughout the country. Lodges are grouped into Provinces by region, roughly in line with the old county boundaries, under the guidance of UGLE.
