Mr. Korsi Senyo has over seven years of experience working directly at local and international levels focusing on peace-building, youth development, web development, graphic designing, social media, branding, marketing, microfinance, event management, project management, and journalism

Korsi Senyo as an Investigative Journalist

He is the Founder/Executive Editor for AM Network (publishers of Awake Newspaper, Awake Africa Magazine and awake TV). He is an investigative journalist and Head of Awake Investigates. He has investigated and published a series of investigative reports and is currently one of the leading young investigative journalists in Ghana who is working hard to expose corruption both within the public and private sectors in Ghana. His investigative works touch on both grassroots and grand-scale corruption in Government.

He was a Consultant (Research Officer/Investigative Journalist) on “Corruption Watch”, a project broadcast on Joy FM Super Morning Show every Wednesday between 8:am and 9:30am and being implemented by CDD Ghana, GII, Joy FM, ACILA and GACC.

His latest investigative report at the Registrar General Department of Ghana is currently being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.

Korsi Senyo as an Entrepreneur and IT Expert

He is the Founder and CEO:

  1. Senco Global Developers Ltd – Real Estate and construction company
  2. Senco Properties & Investivement – real estate agency, property management and investment company
  3. Senyo Global Solutions – a business that is into Event Management, ICT, Media.

As a social entrepreneur

He is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the African Centre for Peace Building established in 2009. He coordinates all activities and brings together stakeholders towards the achievement of the objectives of the organization. He designs programs and projects to promote peace, justice, youth and women development, and poverty reduction.

Korsi Senyo has developed and facilitated several training and conference modules for youth in peace and democracy, youth and women in leadership, youth in entrepreneurship and peace education for teachers.

In February 2014, he was invited by H.E. Dennis Sasso Nduaso, the President of the Republic of Congo to join five heads of State, Nobel Peace Prize winners, Defense Ministers, Senior Government Officials, and other world leaders to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Signing of Brazzaville Peace Accord. At this world peace gathering, Korsi Senyo joined in discussions on shaping world peace and development.

From May 2014 to August 2016, Korsi Senyo was appointed CC Liaison Officer of United Religions Initiative for West Africa where is played the role of communicating and disseminating information of URI Global Office to URI West Africa members organizations and facilitating training workshops for member organizations in West Africa.

In October 2013, Korsi Senyo was selected by Google Ghana for its Google for Entrepreneurs Programmer where he received intensive training in business development. He is also a trained Champion for Change Leadership in Agriculture by AfricaLead – a USAID, Feed The Future programme.

He served as a member on 2015 Peace Awards Giving Committee of the Millennium Excellence Award

He was also a Mentor on the Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Youth African Leaders Initiative – President Obama’s initiative for African young leaders.

Korsi Senyo as a Civil Rights Activist 

He founded United for National Interest, a group that he is currently using to initiate legal reforms in Ghana and also fight for the rights of the Ghanaian people.

As a civil right activist, he has filed two writs at the Supreme Court of Ghana challenging the constitutionality of some aspects of the operations of the General Legal Council of Ghana – the body that regulates the legal profession in Ghana and also challenging the legality of the General Legal Council for publishing guidelines with sought to amend some aspects of the professional code of conduct for lawyers without recourse to parliament.

He has also filed two petitions at the office of the president of Ghana to commence the impeachment processes of two Deputy Electoral Commissioners of Ghana.

Korsi Senyo as a Youth/Student Activist

Korsi Senyo was an inspiring student leader. He was elected Senior Prefect/SRC President of Leklebi Secondary School in 2003-2004.

At the university, he was the Vice President of Volta Region Student Association-KNUT Chapter and National 1st Vice President of the same association between 2007 and 2008.

He was appointed Editorial Board Member of Social Science Students Society, KNUST and Research Coordinator of National Union of Ghana Students-KNUST Chapter.

Between 2008-2009, Korsi Senyo was appointed Chairman of SRC Welfare and Student Management Board (Manager of KBN Fund established to provide financial aid to needy students) of KNUST. He also served as a Member of the Students Financial Services Board and University Welfare Board.

Other Employment:

Korsi Senyo worked as a volunteer teacher at Leklebi Secondary School between May 2006 and August 2006. He was a teacher and head of social science department at St. Prosper’s College in Ho from September 2010 to April 2011.

He worked with ADPL Farming Scheme as the District Director for Kwabre East in the Ashante Region while working as a National Service person at the Ayiduase JSS from June 2009 to August 2010.

Awards Received

Korsi Senyo is the recipient of 2016 Ghana Peace Awards in the Youth Service and Humanitarian Service categories.
