Corruption Watch segment on the Super Morning Show of Joy FM is a very laudable initiative which seeks to uncover acts of corruption in Ghana, ensuring that Accountability and Proper Management of Public Resources become the order of the day. CVM would like to commend the originators and vision bearers of Corruption Watch Program.
[ads1]However, we would like to draw the attention of the organizers of Corruption Watch that, 13th December 2017 edition of the program on NLA seems to be hijacked or sponsored by Kojo Graham to run down Kofi Osei-Ameyaw. Open-minded listeners of the program today might think that the Host, Kojo Yankson was having an evil agenda against Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, Director-General of the NLA since he was not given the opportunity to clarify and response to the Recorded Audio Voices of Kojo Graham which were played on the show.
Let even assume without admitting that Kojo Graham agreed to offer a loan to Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, a loan which according to Kojo Graham has been paid in full. I think it was unfortunate to equate this to Corruption. Who in his right senses will believe a loan story by Kojo Graham which has been paid in full as an issue of Corruption?
The biggest corruption issues amounting to Conflict of interest at the NLA should rather focus on Kojo Graham’s Company which is earning money greater than the money NLA paid into the Consolidated Fund. And under which circumstances did Kojo Graham Lots Services Company Limited and his associated Company Merlin Gaming Ghana Limited(formerly known as Amaya) had Contracts with the NLA?
For avoidance of doubt, Kofi Osei-Ameyaw does not own Kojo Graham any amount of money.
For the sake of clarification, Kojo Graham Lots Services Ghana Limited Contract with the NLA is 15 years and not 10years as stated by Kojo Yankson on Corruption Watch today.
Again, on the files of Lots Services Ghana Limited at the NLA, Kojo Graham did not write any Disclosure letter of Interest to the Board of NLA. The only Disclosure Letter of Interest that Kojo Graham wrote to the NLA is restricted to Amaya now known as Merlin Gaming Ghana Limited.
In order to have unbiased, fair and transparent discussion on the Corruption Watch Program on Joy FM Super Morning Show, CVM would like to advise Kojo Yankson to consult the Legal Department of the NLA as well as contact the current Board Members of the NLA for the proper understanding of the issues at the NLA.
Kojo Yankson over reliance on Kojo Graham side of the story at the NLA will destroy and discredit the whole discussions on the NLA. Whatever Kojo Graham will give you is simply to protect his business interest at the NLA.
How do you expect Kofi Osei-Ameyaw to grant you audience on Corruption Watch Program when you have already taking sides with Kojo Graham?
It will be very funny to only rely on Kojo Graham Documents as the authoritative Evidence against the NLA and Kofi Osei-Ameyaw.
