Ken Agyapong Warns Ghanaians: “Things Are Hard, But Choosing the NDC Will Make It Worse”

Kennedy Agyapong, MP, Assin Central

Kennedy Agyapong, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, has pleaded with Ghanaians to give the party another term in office, despite the difficult times the country is facing.

According to the outspoken legislator, the new NPP government under Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would be better equipped to improve the country’s economic conditions than the John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress.

He expressed the opinion that changing the government would worsen the country’s situation, stating, “Stability is important.”

Speaking at a campaign launch in Ablekuma South, Accra, Mr. Agyapong said, “I admit there are hardships, but Ghana is better off with the NPP in power. Tomorrow might be worse if you change the NPP.”

He urged Ghanaians to trust the party’s presidential candidate and give him the mandate to stabilize the economy, saying, “I’m not selfish; I’m a patriotic citizen. I’m here to plead with you to vote for our presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, for continuity and stability.”

Mr. Agyapong further pledged his support to the NPP, despite alleged tensions between him and the party during the 2023 presidential primaries.
