Kafaba lynching: Police grabs prime suspect

Officials of the Ghana Police Service have arrested one of the prime suspects in the lynching of late Akua Denteh.

Latifa, the young lady who was seen in a viral video flogging the 90-year-old woman Kafaba in the Savanna Region is said to have been arrested at Abrumase.

This brings to six, the number of people arrested in connection with the lynching of the old woman accused of being a witch.

Last Wednesday, five persons in the community turned themselves in to the police after the chief of Kafaba was picked up over the heinous crime.

Madam Akua Denteh was beaten to death in public for allegedly being a witch.

The IGP has announced a two thousand Ghana Cedis (GhC2,000) reward for information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects.
