Former President John Dramani Mahama has appeared at the Accra High Court to support the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu- Ampofo, who has been charged for causing harm.
Other bigwigs of the NDC have “invaded” the Commercial Division of the Accra High Court to support their part Chairman
They include Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary of the NDC, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the spokesperson for the Former President.
At the Commercial Court One, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is facing the same charges as Kweku Boahen, both of whom are National Executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Their appearance in court follows an alleged leaked audio that suggested that Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, NDC National Chairman, allegedly inciting party members in a secret meeting against the chairperson of the Electoral Commission and IGP.
Later in a radio interview, Kweku Boahen was alleged to have admitted that the voice on the alleged audio was that of his National Chairman, who had denied the contents.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) invited the two via WhatsApp messages to interrogate them on the matter, and after a month of concluding its investigation, the CID has prosecuted the two NDC big shots.
