John Mahama pays last respect to Rawlings’ late mother

Former president John Dramani Mahama has today 24th October paid his last respect to the mother of former President Lt. Jerry John Rawlings and founder of the National Democratic Congress.

Mother of former President Jerry John Rawlings, Victoria Agbotui burial service took place at the forecourt of the State House today 9am and ended on 10am, after which the body was conveyed to Dzelukope in the Volta Region for interment. She died on 24th September after her 101th birthday.

Flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama was at Keta in the Volta Region where he paid his last respect to the departed disciplinarian mother, as former president Jerry John Rawlings revealed on his mother’s 100th birthday. In attendance with the flagbearer was his special aide Joyce Bawa Morgetary and other NDC party executives.

Late Agbotui is a native of Dzelukope of Keta in the Volta Region. She gave Ghana a son and president who remains the longest serving president and a champion of probity and accountability.
