John Mahama Advocates for Experienced Leadership

Mahama

Ghana’s former President, John Dramani Mahama, has emphasized the need for a seasoned leader to tackle the country’s economic challenges.

During a recent community engagement in Juapong, Volta Region, Mr. Mahama argued that Ghana requires a tried-and-tested leader, rather than an experimental one

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who is seeking re-election in the upcoming December 7 polls, cautioned against the “try me” approach, referencing the current government’s 2016 campaign slogan and similar tactics used by the opposition.

He urged the youth to prioritize experience and expertise in leadership.

Mr. Mahama promised to focus on youth development if re-elected and encouraged young people to make informed decisions at the polls.

The former President’s comments come as Ghana prepares to go to the polls on December 7. Many experts have identified the ruling NPP and the NDC as the major contenders.
