It is not yet clear if the posters are actually emanating from his camp but it is being rumored they are for coming from a group calling itself Friends of John Dumelo who are pushing hard to get the actor convinced to contest for [ads1]the position as they believe he is the only candidate that can mobilize the youth of the party for its December 2020 victory.
It will, however, not be surprising if the actor, businessman, philanthropist and politician – John Dumelo declares his intentions for the position as he played a very vital role in last years December 2016 for the NDC.

During the 2016 general elections, he is one of the most committed Ghanaian celebrities that toured the whole country campaigning for the then President John Dramani Mahama who was seeking his second term bid but was however defeated at the polls by the 72-year old flag-bearer of the then of opposition NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo.
John Dumelo is also very passionate about the development of deprived communities, girl child education, youth empowerment and development. He has through his ‘John Dumelo Foundation’ touched many lives across Africa.
