Joseph Yamin, a former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports in the government of the NDC, says John Dramani Mahama will not be remorseful for his ‘do or die’ statement on radio.
John Mahama said that in relation to how the 2024 general elections will be.
Mr Yamin, on Accra FM, Wednesday, said those complaining about Mr Mahama’s statement were either out of school too early or don’t understand English.
“Do or die and all die be die, don’t mean the same. Do or die is an idiom while all die be die is not English idiom,” Joseph Yamin claimed.
He said the NDC should be motivated and charged by the statement by John Dramani Mahama to defend their ballots in 2024.

Former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that the National Democratic Congress will be very vigilant at the polling stations during the next general elections in 2024.
Speaking in a radio interview in Techiman during his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Bono East Region on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Mr Mahama said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has learnt its lessons from the 2020 elections.
On Akina FM, the former President stated that the 2020 elections had taught the NDC that elections coulfy only be won at the polling stations, a reason the NDC would not let their guards down.
He said the elections “will be won or lost at the polling station. At the polling station, it will be do or die.”
He was, however, quick to clarify that he was not referring to ‘All die be die’, reiterating that the 2024 elections will be “do or die. The right thing must be done.”
He said the NDC would not want to cheat the NPP and would not equally allow the NDC to cheat.
“We will want transparency so that the will of the people will be done,” he noted.
