I’m afraid, Black Stars needs fresh direction – Adams reacts to Rajevac’s return

Former Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac is set to be appointed Black Stars coach for the second time, pending approval from the Executive Council (ExCo) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to sports journalist Muftawu Nabila Abdulai, Milovan Rajevac will earn $45,000 per month.

However, Saddick Adams is quite pessimistic about the second coming of Milovan Rajevac.

In a post on Facebook sighted by Awake News, Saddick Adams was of the view that, the second coming of coaches to the Black Stars have been largely unsuccessful and as a result, he felt that the Stars should have headed towards a “new fresh direction”.

“Second coming of coaches to the Black Stars have mostly been disastrous. We needed a new fresh direction. I’m afraid”, his post read.

Milovan Rajevac

Milovan Rajevac was appointed Black Stars coach in August 2008 and quit on 8 September 2010.

Milovan Rajevac was at the helm of affairs during the Stars’ most impressive showing at the World Cup so far.

Ghana’s impressive run at the 2010 World Cup saw them almost reach the semi-finals. The Stars exited the competition at the quarter-final stage as a result of Luis Suarez’s infamous handball.
