The Ghana Chapter of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), on Friday March 27, 2020 has appointed a new Interim Executive Committee to run the affairs of the Commission in Ghana.
The Chairman of the Commission, Professor Micheal Kwateng in an interview, revealed this in the wake of the fight against corruption, indicating the role of the commission here in Ghana and on the global stage.
He noted that the IHRC-Gh is working closely with the IHRC in Geneva, the African Region and the United Nations as it is expected, especially in this times of an abnormal pandemic.
He added that the IHRC is supporting the fight the deadly virus with logistics and coupled with an extensive campaign.
Prof. Kwateng, however, advised the general public to adhere to the protocols and the directives of government aimed towards the containment you f the pandemic.
The interim executive committee is made of Professor Micheal Kwateng (Chairman), Dr. Gabriel Odeh Apotey (1st Vice Chairman), Mrs. Amanda Hughes (2nd Vice Chairman), Mr. Henry Ugah (Director of Research), Mr. Jonathan Kweku Sey (Director of Finance), Miss Adjoa Obuo Doudu (Director of Protocol).
The others include; Nana Kwesi Boateng (Director of Training and Education), Mr. Felix Martey Glover (Director of Media and Public Relations), Rev. Martin Tamakloe (Head of Culture and Religion), while Mr. Micheal Kpabitey Hammond is appointed as the Treasurer.
