1.Our stand as minority in Parliament has been made clear to the National Identification Authority that we cannot and will not take part in the NIA registration which seeks to denationalize most Ghanaians.
[ads1]2.We made it clear as minority members to the general public that all minority MPs wouldn’t take part in the NIA registration if the Voter ID is excluded from the basic requirements.
3.The Voter ID card has been the basic identification requirement for transactions in Ghana. It was even the basic requirement for exercising our political rights. So how come NIA is rejecting the Voter ID card which was used to elect the president of the republic? Does it mean our President was elected by foreigners and was illegally elected?
5.The integrity of the project as being implemented has been compromised even at the house of parliament because the pictures used for those fake ID cards were those we the MPs gave to parliament for our Parliamentary ID cards so we wonder where those fraudsters had our informations from. This means we the Parliamentarians are not safe.
5.I hereby call for an immediate investigation into how those fraudsters secured our Parliamentary details to produce those fake ID cards as well as the recognition of Ken Attafuah as the Executive Director of NIA for all these fraudulent acts.
I humbly call on my constitutes to remain calm while we fight for their rights. I and my colleagues wouldlike to assure them that we will not register until the Voter ID card is included in the basic requirements for the registration.
Thank You.
Hon. KWASI ETU- BONDE.
MP, KINTAMPO NORTH.
