I regret my actions – National Security operative apologises to Sam George

The National Security operative who was captured in several viral videos assaulting the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, has admitted he erred in taking the actions against the legislator.

Sulemana Mohammed confessed that his apology wasn’t a mere rhetoric but one he deeply means as he pleads for forgiveness from the MP.

The National Security Operative is seen in several videos captured by many press houses jumping out of the vehicle he was seated in to slap the Ningo-Prampram MP.

He seemed to have been provoked by some comments uttered by the MP as he was captured very furiously attacking him.

He offered the apology when he appeared before the commission of enquiry probing the violence that characterized the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

“My Lord I was guilty at what I did. I regretted what I did” he stated.

“My Lord whenever you offend somebody what u need to say is I am sorry and that you will not do it again” he continued.

Sulemana Mohammed emphasized that “My lord when u err and u ask for forgiveness you say it whole-heartedly and that person will also forgive you”

The National Security Operative suggested he was provoked by some utterances of the MP, a position that was alluded to by his commander DSP Azuku.

However, the Ningo-Prampram MP dismissed such suggestions as nonfactual and fabrications alleging that he made no such comments.

The Commission will today, Friday 8th March 2019, conclude hearing and public sitting as it hopes to conclude its work within the stipulated one month period given it to do its work.
