I never said we have no case against NAM 1 – CID Boss

The Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Services, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has dismissed media reports that she said the Ghana Police Service has no case against the embattled businessman, Nana Appiah Mensah.

According to the CID Boss in a statement sighted by Awake News, she only told one Peter of TV3 that the Menzgold Boss has not jumped any bail from the police “rather we are looking for him to be arrested and that we have even obtained a warrant of arrest”.

She maintained that “there was not a point in time that I said we have no case against him”.

“I will therefore urge the public to treat the public to treat the publication with the contempt it deserves”. – she added

Gabby Asare Ochere Darko, a leading member of the ruling NPP yesterday posted on his Facebook page that NAM 1 had jumped bail.

DISCLAIMER
My attention has been drawn on erroneous publication published on 3news.com and other media platforms with the headline “We’ve never arrested NAM1; we have no case against him – CID boss”

The headline is very misleading with distorted contents and not the true representation of the telephone interview I granted one Peter of TV3 about the arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah alias NAM 1. One PETER of TV3 called and wanted to confirm whether or not NAM1 has jumped bail from the police. I said no but rather we are looking for him to be arrested and that we have even obtained a warrant of arrest.

There was not a point in time that I said we have no case against him. I will, therefore, urge the public to treat the public to treat the publication with the contempt it deserves.
Signed
Director General Police CID
DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs)
