President Nana Akuffo Addo’s Health Minister, Hon. Kweku Agyemang Manu has revealed that the previous John Mahama government vigorously made arrangements for the ambulances services, not the New Patriotic Party.

According to the Health Minister, Mahama’s government never slept on the Health Emergency unit services and relentlessly made arrangements to bring in ambulances to eliminate the catastrophe that bedeviled pre-hospital care and not his own NPP government.

Agyemang Manu made what might be considered a shocking revelation and confession to critics of former president Mahama for not paying much attention to the National Emergency Medical Services. He established this fact on JoyNews’ Documentary dubbed “Impact Of One Constituency One Ambulance” which was aired yesterday Wednesday, 25th November 2020.

Hon. Agyemang said, “I just want to be magnanimous, to tell Ghanaians the truth, the previous Government didn’t sleep about Emergency preparedness, they were trying to bring in ambulances, I bet you, our poor management systems they couldn’t”.

He praised the former Mahama led government for that brilliant initiative and also disclosed that as a Health Minister who has championed the current existing ambulances, he is relieved of the sorrow of lives that were lost previously but could have been prevented.
