Newly-elected national executives of the Ho Technical University (HTU) alumni have been sworn into office.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, November 28, 2020.
The seven-member leadership comprises Mr. Simon Avorgah – President, Mr. Fianu Focus Felix– Vice President, Mrs. Regina Agbagba –Secretary, Engr. Kumah Alfred Brown – Communication & Programs officer, Mr. Ebenezer Tsekpetse – Treasurer, Mr. Emmanuel Senyo Amekplenu – Finance Officer and Mr. Oladapo Ben Olusheyi – Organizer
In a statement signed by the Communications and Programs officer, Kumah Alfred Brown, “he expressed appreciation to the entire congress and called for full participation of all past students in reviving the alumni.
“A heartfelt thanks to the entire congress and my overwhelming supporters for the great honor given me as the new face of the Ho Technical University Alumni in the capacity as the Communications and Programs Officer. We worked for it”.
He also congratulated the President elect, Mr. Simon Avorgah, all elected executives and admonished all members to support the president and all elected officers to increase participation and redeem the image of the Alumni. “Congratulations to the President elect, he’s our own lecturer and ‘personal person’ ?! And so let’s support him”.
The communication and programs officer Engr. Kumah Alfred Brown, promised to address the communication gap and project the image of the alumni to the world.
Moreover, he called on all alumni members to embrace their Alma mater and give their all for its continuous growth and development.

Fellow Adanunites, good afternoon!
A heartfelt thanks to the entire congress and my overwhelming supporters for the great honor given me as the new face of the Ho Technical University Alumni in the capacity as the Communications and Programs Officer. We worked for it!
I contacted you all from the 1985 year group to present day about the need to rebuild and uplift the image of the alumni, you expressed your excitements and made several suggestions. You bought my message of changing the narrative to awaken the alumni spirit.!
We had some challenges where your Proxy votes were rejected but in all, your responds to vote online to change the narrative was overwhelming!! I thank you all for such commitment towards rebuilding the alumni.
Elections are over, but the goal is yet to be accomplished. Let’s all come on board to revive HTU ALUMNI.
Without you there’s nothing like alumni. Your involvement, sacrifice and good counsel will be the belt drive to achieving the alumni goal.
We will step on toes, we will chill and have fun, we will rekindle the alumni spirit and we will do so many great things together.
Soon, you will be called to avail yourself to serve on so many committees. Don’t be too busy to serve please. We must do this together and I will update you on all NEC activities through appropriate and bigger channels.
Soon, I will merge all platforms and create official social media handles for the association as a duty of the communications and Programs officer.
Congratulations to the President elect, he’s our own lecturer and ‘personal person’ ?! And so let’s support him.
My other elected executives, congratulations to you all.
Names and pictures of all elected executives shall be published on all university notice boards for two weeks.
Also it shall be published online and print media.
