Ghanaian Hip-hop and afrobeat artist, Maradona Yeboah Adjei known popularly as Guru NKZ has announced his intention to contest the 2024 University of Ghana, Legon Student Representative Council elections.
Guru NKZ who is gunning for the President’s position took to social media to welcome students of Legon back to campus for the semester.
He posted a flyer with the caption: “Maradona Yeboah Adjei ( GURU NKZ) Welcomes all students back to campus;

Information about when Guru the programme Guru is pursuing at the University of Ghana is scanty. But we can confirm that Guru NKZ will likely be the next SRC president of Ghana’s premier University if his message is convincing enough to voters.
Guru’s decision comes on the back of earlier success by celebrated reggae-dancehall musician, Emmanuel Andrews Samwini known by his stage name, Samini. Samini contested the SRC elections at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, GIMPA and was elected SRC president.
Known for hits such as “Lapaz Toyota”, “Mpaebo”, “Alkayida” and “Boys Abre”, the NKZ Music boss has been a big actor in the Ghanaian music industry for over a decade.
Apart from his music, Guru has also been someone interested in education. He NIIT (now OpenLabs) and IPMC before continuing at Zenith University College where he pursued Marketing.
