Greater Accra Zango Chief Tours Developmental Projects In Sabon Zango

The Greater Accra Zango Chief, Alhaji Yahya Hamisu Bako on Thursday, 31st March 2022 toured some Developmental Projects within his jurisdiction in the Sabon Zango Traditional Area of the Greater Accra Region. The royal tour forms part of his working visit to the area and encourages the good people of the area to put more effort into developing Sabon Zango and beyond.

The visitation also forms part of the palace’s efforts to ensure the development and progress of Zango Communities in the Greater Accra Zango Communities. The tour was also aimed at showcasing various Developmental projects in Sabon Zango, mainly the medical facility put up by Alhaji Dr. Yunus Osuman an advising member at the Office of the Vice President which will be named after the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

The Accra Zango Chief and his entourage together with the media toured other ongoing projects in the community which includes; the Health facility, an ongoing Islamic School and a Mosque. The Accra Zango Chief’s first point of call was at the ongoing medical facility where he and his entourage were received by some prominent Zango personalities including the former Member of Parliament for Ngleshie Amanfrom, Hon. Abib Saad, a member of the office of the National Chief Imam.

Sarki Yahya Hamisu Bako proceeded to Islamiya Arabic School where some members of the community are putting up a modern classroom block before moving to inspect the re-construction of Abokin Ango Mosque which is among the oldest mosque in Sabon Zango. The Greater Accra Zongo Chief who doubles as the President of the Sabon Zango Traditional Council in his interaction with the media after the tour expressed his satisfaction with how the people of Sabon Zango are embarking on developmental projects in the community.

He called on other Philanthropists within the Greater Accra Zangos to come on board and help build Zango Communities with facilities that will meet the basic needs of the dwellers. He reiterated that the vision of Dr. Yunus Osman to improve the system of healthcare in Sabon Zango by putting up a health facility will make healthcare easily accessible to everyone in Sabon Zango and beyond. The Health facility, he said will not only provide easy and accessible healthcare but also employment opportunities for nurses and doctors as well as other unskilled workers of Sabon Zango descent. The Greater Accra Zango Chief presented an undisclosed amount of money as his little token to the field workers for their hard work and dedication.
