The Greater Accra Zabrama Chief, Alhaji Pro-Umar Abubakar Tanko, and his entourage have paid a courtesy Call on the Niger Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Alhousseini Ousmane at his office in Accra.
The Chief’s visit was to officially introduce his cabinet members to the Niger Ambassador to strengthen the relationship between the Nigeriens in Diaspora and the Embassy.
The visit was also to dedicate to the Ambassador an award won by the Chief as the Best Greater Accra Zabrama Chief.
The visit also discussed the need to depeen inter-cultural exchange programs as well as the strenghtening trade ties between Ghana and Niger.
In his address, the Ambassador stated that the visit would greatly encourage him to serve not only Nigeriens in Ghana but also those of Niger descent in general.
He called on the members of the Chief’s cabinet to forge ahead with one voice to demonstrate unity of purpose as well as the protection of one another.
He stressed that with unity, Nigeriens in the Diaspora would progress and subsequently help in the economic growth of the two countries.
He further expressed his profound gratitude to the Greater Accra Zabrama Chief and his entourage for their visit to the Embassy and congratuted him for wining the award and encouraged him to do more for the benefit of humanity, and assured that his doors were always open to the Chief.
On his part, the Greater Accra Zabrama Chief revealed that the people of Zabrama descent in Ghana are leaving peacefully with others and will continue to strengthen their relations with all other tribes in Ghana.
He said Zabramas have contributed massively to Ghana’s economic development in diverse ways and have been given top positions in almost all the political parties and goverments in Ghana.
