Graduates will undergo military training under my leadership as President – Kennedy Agyapong

The flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, has indicated that under his leadership as President of Ghana, every graduate will undergo six months of military training.

According to him, the intensive military training will instill discipline in Ghanaian youth, resulting in a positive attitude toward work, which is currently lacking in all sectors of the economy.

He said that after graduating from the tertiary institution, it would be appropriate to go for such military training to shape the obnoxious mannerisms of the youth to work in a very disciplined environment to speed up the country’s productivity.

“I will put National Service personnel to good use. Because of indiscipline in Ghana, every National Service person and every university graduate will serve six months in the military,” he said.

“You will serve six months in the military before completing your remaining six months of national service,” he reiterated.

National Service is a scheme for all students of tertiary institutions nationwide to serve a year in public or private institutions; more often than not, they are deployed across regions to supplement the government workforce and receive monthly stipends.
