The New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has issued out a 6 month ultimatum to the people of Koblimahigu and Fuo in the Northern region to relocate from the roads and waterway following last month’s heavy flooding which claimed two lives.
[ads1]The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, Musah Superior explained to Awake News that government has reached out to the chiefs and opinion leaders of the various communities for a successful evacuation exercise.
He reiterated that government decision to move the residents hinges the investigations reported by NADMO.
You recall that last month a heavy downpour which lasted for two hours displaced some residents of 6 districts in the northern region.
Some thatch houses in the affected communities were submerged, while containers, livestock, and other valuable were carried away.
The gravity of the downpour led a delegation from the office of the vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to assess the devastation caused by the flood.
