The best use of power is in service to others not associating it with Machiavellian attempts at preserving self-interest and exerting dominance over others.
The key to enduring power is simple: stay focused on others interest as much as yours. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2, ”When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan”.The people wail over taxation, a huge national debt, national defense and security issues, sex immortality, and corruption in the private, public, and political sphere. You cannot break God’s moral laws without them breaking you, and it doesn’t matter if it relates to the President or the entire administration.
If the President chooses to sin, he chooses to suffer, because he is the one who chooses his way, not God’s, and since God is sovereign, he will hold him responsible; even more so with the entire administration. He has the authority to do that. It is God who changes times and seasons; he removes and set up Kings ( Dan 2:22). It is time to bury our partisan mindsets and vote out this wicked administration. The government is doing more damage to the nation than Ghanaians are, but the people are feeling the consequences and suffering for it. The Bible says in Gen 6:5 ”the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
The perpetual blame game adopted by President Akufo-Addo and his Npp since 2017 points to absolute failure on the part of the President and his administration to proffer tangible and long-lasting solutions to the problems the administration created for itself right from inception. The President has become so unpopular that he would have been impeached by now if it were other civilized democracies. Ghana has never been this divided and polarised by politics of hate, vengeance, deceit and cabalism as can be seen under this administration and there is no point shying away from the bitter truth.
Ghana is drowning daily under Akufo-Addo and we are gradually drifting in the dangerous zone. The killings, kidnappings, maiming, beatings harassments and insensitive posture of NPP leaders and President Akufo-Addo, if allowed to continue may spell doom for our great nation. The government that promised transparency and accountability under their change mantra, now turning round to spend money not appropriated, not in the budget, swimming in corruption, breaching procurement laws and procedures and giving huge contracts to family and friends. The President who disturbed our ears with his ‘I am incorruptible’ self-aggrandizement, has turned Ghana to his private business empire with members of his cabal
President Akufo-Addo should be shown the exit door as his three years rule has been ”most traumatic and devastating” for our youth, farmers, nurses, traders, businesses, security personnel, teachers, drivers and every democratic institution. Ghanaians have made up their minds to vote out the government that does not believe in inclusive growth and is only worried about its political existence at the altar of disharmony. The past three years only witnessed stench of corruption peaking to unimaginable proportion.
Ghanaians are fed up with the daily rhetoric and cosmetic change by the current dispensation and there is an undercurrent against this illusion and boastful self-aggrandizement. The administration’s record on national security is dismal as an incident of kidnapping, killings, armed robbery have seen a quantum jump. The President must find out why the many killings, kidnappings and maiming under his administration. Why the unprecedented hardship, the massive complaints, why businesses are collapsing, why investors are leaving the country, why the many demonstrations and picketing.
A lie spoken a hundred times does not become truth. Ghanaians have become politically sophisticated that is the truth. Blaming the last administration daily will not change the mindset of the populace. A government which does not believe in inclusive growth and is only worried about its political existence and building of political empires should be immediately shown the exit door and that is exactly what Ghanaians are going to do come to the next election. Our sociopolitical ambience has lost cohesiveness. There is a sense of deep despair and disillusionment amongst the masses. Ghanaians have made up their minds to reject the NPP so that the future of Ghana is safe and secure.
If we are not happy with happenings in the country, that’s no reason not to vote or still vote for the God-forsaken administration because of ideological, tribal or political alliances. God may use ungodly leadership as a form of disciplining a nation. He did same with ancient Israel and Judah. He gave them up to their own sins, and then God gave them the King they deserved. Can we as a nation still hear God’s voice, where He tells his people ”Oh, that my people would listen to me (Psalm 81:13).
Nana Akufo-Addo promised us low fuel prices- he has quadrupled it.
He promised us more jobs- millions of Ghanaians including bankers have lost their jobs under his administration
– He promised low taxes- importers, traders and the general public wailing over taxation
-Promised us lean government- has appointed over 100 ministers and over 2000 staffers and special aides
– Promised us no borrowing- has borrowed over Ghc80 billion in two years unprecedented in the history of Ghana
-Promised us 350 new secondary schools- has not built even a dormitory
-Promised us $1 million per a constituency annually- Has not fulfilled that
– Promised us dams but giving us dugouts
-Promised us no family and friends government- has appointed 54 family members and friends into his administration- unprecedented in our political history
– Promised us corruption-free government- but rated the most corrupt president/administration in the history of Ghana – Oslo scandal, cash for seat, KelniGVG, Koomson Website, Bost scandal, PDS and Ameri scandals, Ghana lottery Authority scandal, Ghana Maritime Authority Scandal, The Deputy Chiefs of Staff issue, The Senior Minister’s scandal etc etc.
– He promised our children free chocolate every morning
– Promised our cocoa farmers heaven – but selling not them not for sale fertilizer.
And the President thinks the Most High God will still allow him to stay in office and perpetuate his wickedness on Ghanaians. He should look around the country as he drives around and compare Mahama’s performance to his and ask himself if he really deserves another term. His three years is like a hundred years in the wilderness because of his incompetence.
