Ghana’s COVID-19 cases hit 4,700 with 494 recoveries

Ghana’s case count of the deadly novel Coronavirus has jumped to 4700, this is according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The recoveries have also shot up to 494.

He made this announcement during his ninth televised address to the nation on Sunday, May 10, 2020.

As of Sunday, 9.30 pm, Ghana had conducted 160,501 tests and with total infections of 4,700 and 494 recoveries. The number of people who have died at 22 deaths.

Meanwhile, the President has extended the ban on public and social gathering till the end of May.

This is in accordance with the Executive Instrument (E.I.) 64 which the president signed to give full effect to the new measure from Monday, May 11, 2020.
