The appointment was carefully arrived at by the UFP and Executives of the IAPD Africa, who described Sheikh Sharubutu as a religious leader whose life and conduct have exhibited interreligious unity and peace in Ghana.

Via a zoom conference at the Accra International Conference Center to outdoor the IAPD-Ghana Executives, Reverend George Ogurie, IAPD Africa Regional Coordinator, tasked the Sheikh Sharubutu-led IAPD-Ghana to use their influence to sustain the peace and development in the country.

Describing Ghana as a beacon of hope where the various sects have hardly clashed, Reverend Ogurie urged the IAPD-Ghana to form a strong alliance to consolidate the gains Ghana has made in keeping her peace and development.

“Build on the peace by uniting all stakeholders…the ruling class, business class and community with your strong influence,” he urged the IAPD-Ghana members.
