Fixthecountry convenor, Osagyefo Oliver Barker-Vormawor has called on Ghanaians to rise and demand the dismissal or resignation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Dame.
He said the recent revelations by the NDC in which the AG is heard on a recorded phone call persuading Richard Jakpa to testify falsely in court must not be allowed to slide.
Vormawor explained that neither the Godfred Dame nor the president will take responsibility for the legally unacceptable behaviour. He said Godfred Dame’s action is a “moral crisis of the Legal Justice system” and Ghanaians must not watch on and let it die a natural death.
“What the Attorney-General had done is not a private matter to be settled between himself and Jakpa or Ato Forson in their little criminal case. It’s a moral crisis of the Legal Justice system. Even if he refuses to resign or Nana Addo does not sack him as we know he won’t being the type of person he is; we as a people cannot countenance this and let it slide,” he stated on Facebook.
He concluded his post by calling on Ghanaians to “act now!”
