A core message of the Bible is a clarion call for Christians to abandon the pleasures of this earth if they really intend to follow Christ Jesus.

It seems like a simple message but when one reaches a conclusion that he/she wants to fully embrace Christ, it becomes difficult to determine the activities/actions which ought to be categorized as earthly/worldly. Ofori Amponsah and Obour are perfect examples of those who are still struggling with their ‘call to Christ’ because they keep going switching between their past life and their newly found life in Christ.

Below are some of the celebrities who abandoned their careers in the entertainment industry in order to fully embrace the Gospel of Christ;

Moesha BuduongSocial media sensation and actress Moesha Boduong got converted at Pastor Gabby Ibe’s Revelation Church International.

Preaching against her past life, she said; “This is Moesha Buduong, they used to call me Slay Queen of Accra and I was happy. I thought it was okay but I battled with a lot,”.

“I tried crack before, I took weed, its God that I don’t know is with me so when I tried it, I didn’t like it”.

Moesha Boduong’s conversion to Christ has generated heated debate because some people believe that she’s going through depression and needs urgent psychiatric care.

Lord KenyaLord Kenya’s album emerged as the Album of the Year at the Ghana Music Award in 2001. However, on 28th October 2010, Lord Kenya said that he encountered the Holy Spirit, resulting in him becoming a pastor at the Face of Grace Covenant Temple, situated in Ahodwo-Kumasi.

Yaw Siki‘Wu p3 dodo’ hit maker,  Yaw Siki, born Isaac okai found Christ after surviving a ghastly accident in 2013 and since then, he has been spotted on several occasions, preaching in commercial buses (trotro).

In an interview with Ghanaweb, Yaw Siki said; “It would have been hard to stop some things like weed, masturbation, pornography, because through the accident, God had my attention so he could work on me and transform me because I was stubborn and my ears were hard, so if it wasn’t for the accident, it would have been hard for me to turn around totally”.
