Dr Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, a renowned Ghanaian prostate Scientist, has discovered hibiscus plant as potent for the treatment of prostate cancer in men.
Based on this, he has developed a natural formula, called Men’s Formula, with other major ingredients including pawpaw and nim to, additionally, manage sexual health and boost immune for men with advanced prostate conditions.
Hibiscus plant has a major antioxidant and fights cancer in men, Dr Raphael Obu told Awake News, adding that he is the first person in Ghana to discover such efficacy of the plant.
The product is manufactured in Tema, Ghana, and certified by the Foods and Drugs Authority (FDA) with certificate number FDA/HD1.18-11342.
Men’s Formula is also designed to help guard against the most common consequences of unbalanced testosterone levels, support men on ‘watchful waiting’ and promote successful aging, male vitality and detoxification.
Again, it has been formulated to help men restore their prostate health as close as possible to youthful levels.
Dr Raphael Nyarkotey Obu’s passion for prostate cancer research started as an MSc Prostate Cancer Care student at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where, he said, he realized that, throughout the world, prostate cancer is one of the major cancers which causes death and harm to the majority of black males.
After his postdoctoral training under Dr George Georgia of Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine, Larnaca City, Cyprus, where he was later appointed a Research Professor of Prostate Cancer and holistic medicine, Dr Obu and his partners have founded the RNG Medicine Research Laboratory, Tema, where he manufactures the phytomedicine Men’s Formula, with the hibiscus, nim, and pawpaw as the major ingredient in the formulation.
“Men’s Formula is the only product in Ghana manufactured by RNG Medicine Research Lab. The products are manufactured in an FDA Audited facility and follow good manufacturing standards with genuine testimonials and scientific data on ingredients for the formulation with proof of effectiveness through clinical or scientific data,” Dr Obu explained.
Because of the combination of several ingredients in the formula, multiple mechanisms of action can be responsible for the anti–cancer activity and other benefits, as most of the agents have shown in vitro activity, ranging from stimulation of natural killer-cell activity to growth inhibition of different cell lines.
“There are components that proved estrogenic activity or inhibit 5-alpha reeducates, therefore, the extracts can induce apoptosis and suppress cell growth by restricting cell cycle progression,” he explained in medical jargons.
He continued that Men’s Formula combination is not an isolated botanical playing different anti-cancer roles but bunched up as a single multi-effects remedy.
“The active 100% phytomedicine ingredients combined in Men’s Formula have been shown individually in research studies and clinical trials to also help men to deal with the side effect of conventional prostate cancer treatment if integrated, and help improve the sex life of men on hormone treatment,” Dr Obu concluded.
