Ghana Peace Awards: Korsi Senyo, TB Joshua, Kofi Annan, others nominated

Mr. Emmanuel Korsi Senyo, Co-Founder/Executive Director of African Centre for Peace Building-AFCOPB and Founder of United for National Interest (UNI) has been nominated to receive Ghana (National) Peace Awards on October 29, 2016 at the National Theater in Accra.

He has been nominated to receive three (3) categories of the peace awards at the event.

“The Life Patron in the Person of Nene Abram Akuaku III, Ada Mantse and President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chief of Stability Foundation International in collaboration with National Peace Council and Ministry of Interior wish to bring to your notice of your nomination for a Ghana (National) Peace Awards.

That your work over the years has created and fostered peace in the heart of people in Ghana and worldwide and it has been recognized as extra ordinary.” The letter to Mr. Korsi Senyo said.

“That you have also demonstrated capacity in mobilizing people and resources for peace-building at national, sub-regional, regional or international level. You have also wide-ranging experience in advocating for systematic change relating to conflict prevention, resolution, peace-building or security at national, sub-regional, regional or international level” the letter added.

The awards ceremony which is being organized by Stability Foundation International (SFI), in partnership with the National Peace Council, Ministry of Interior and National House of Chiefs, is aimed at recognizing the work of individuals, including celebrities and organizations who have made significant contributions towards promoting and fostering peace.

It is also aimed at investing in projects that focus more on developing and reengaging the youth in non-violent ventures that make them equal to the task of participating in all processes of change and peace building.

Mr. Korsi Senyo is nominated together with H.E. Kofi Annan – former UN Secretary General, Prophet TB Josuah of SCOAN; Mr. John Kudalor – IGP of Ghana; Right Hon. Ebenezer Sekyi Hudges – former Speaker of Paliament of Ghana; Ghana Police Service; Dentaa Amoateng-CEO of GUBA Awards; Mrs. Francisca Odunton – Dector General of GBC; Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Wiafe Addai – CEO of Breast Care International and Peace and Love Hospital; Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih – Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana; UniBank, Mr Kenneth Ashiegbey, Rt Hon Rev Dr Doe Adjaho – Speaker of Parliament, Hon Alban Sumani BAGBIN – Majority Leader of Parliament, Lawrence Kyei Mensah Bonsu – Minority Leader of Parliament among others.

“I feel really honored and humbled to be called upon men and women of this caliber to receive not just any award but a PEACE AWARD especially in my home country is a total blessing and honor that will forever remain in my heart” Mr. Korsi Senyo told Awake Africa’s Blessing Elikem Narh.

“At a time that you feel like given up your heart desires just because of life challenges, God brings you hope and restores your energy to continue pushing hard till you affect the last soul he ordained you to touch. This is how I see this award” he added with great emotions.

Mr. Korsi Senyo used the opportunity to call on his fellow young people to use their youthful energies to champion peace during the 2016 election.

“This award should be a great inspiration to my fellow young people that scarifies we make in the live of humanity is worthier than material gains especially when you see others smile because of you. As the elections draws closer, I wish to call on colleague to see themselves as agents of Peace and Unity not destruction. We have only one Ghana and the interest of the nation must be our top most priority” Korsi Senyo said.

Korsi Senyo is a peace advocate, social entrepreneur, IT expert, teachers, Actor, Journalist who is best described as the young man of multiple talents has dedicated over eight (8) years working for peace and creating positive opportunities for his colleague young people both at the local and international level.

He has established and managing these businesses Senyo Global Solutions, Awake Africa Newspaper, SEMPEG Consult, Senyo Global Productions and Senyo Global Events.

In February 2014, he was invited by H.E. Dennis Sasso Nduaso, the President of the Republic of Congo to join five Head of States, Noble Peace Prize winners, Defense Ministers, Senior Government Officials and other world leaders to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Signing of Brazzaville Peace Accord. At this world peace gathering, Korsi Senyo joined in discussions in shaping world peace and development.

Korsi Senyo served as a member on Peace Awards Giving Committee of the 2015 Millennium Excellence Award at was held at the Great Hall of KNUST under the auspices of Ashantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in December 2015.

He was also Mentor on the Mandela Washington Fellowship of the Youth African Leaders Initiative. He also worked as West Africa CC Liaison Officer for the United Regions Initiative headquartered in San Francesco, USA Thirty-two categories, including humanitarian and service, human rights, courage of conscience, man of peace, presidential peace, media peace, and inter-faith peace awards will be presente.
