As part of efforts to support Olympic and Non-Olympic sports in the country, the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has presented an amount of GH₵4,000 to Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA).

The cash amount is part of a $150,000 set aside by the GOC to be disbursed amongst the Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations.

In his acceptance speech following victory at the GOC Congress and elections, the President of the GOC Ben Nunoo Mensah assured sports associations of his commitment to push for the wholesale development and promotion of sports programs.

According to the GBSA their share of the money was received on behalf of the Federation by its Organizing Secretary Nana Poku Amankwah and would immediately be used to settle debts owed by the association.

This includes the cash prize for the winners of the 2016/2017 beach soccer league Keta Sunset.

The President of the GBSA, Yaw Ampofoh Ankrah has outlined a series of activities which will kick start in the final quarter of 2017 through to 2018.
